This update brings two new maps, new factions, new weapons and vehicles into this all new theater of war. Chapter 5, with the Pacific theater, will come to Battlefield 5 this fall. With Update 5.0, we’re heading to the Pacific. #Battlefield 5 pacific windowsThe developers will provide players with new weapons, items, and vehicles from those two countries and their era of the war.ĮA and DICE will release Battlefield 5: Chapter 4 on June 27 for PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One. The battle of Iwo Jima will be one of the featured maps in the conflict. Chapter 5 focuses on the entry of the United States and Japan into the second World War. ![]() Later this year, DICE will release Chapter 5 of Battlefield 5. ![]() Private games are also coming to Battlefield 5 in September, designed for fans who want to only play with their friends or organize tournaments while maintaining control of their experience. The studio will also increase player’s maximum rank from 50 to 500 this August, with each rank rewarding players with currency and unique emblems. The team described it as a passion project for Battlefield 5, and it’ll come to the game this October. They also mentioned Operation Underground, which takes players to an early 20th century subway station. DICE/Electronic ArtsĭICE also revealed that new maps in the Nordic countryside will come to Battlefield 5 later this year. Two additional maps, planned for release in August, will be focused on close-quarters combat. It will take place in a small Greek village. The second map, Marita, is coming in July. ![]() Al Sundan is an adaptation of the “Under No Flag” mission from Battlefield 5’s campaign. In the first map, Al Sundan, players can pilot air and land vehicles in the giant South African environment. As such, it’s no surprise that DICE has been making more of an effort to promote the game in recent weeks. War in the Pacific also includes more new content than any previous Tides of War Chapter making it the game’s largest expansion to date. Well I guess it couldn't be much more obvious. As such, fans have been asking for this for a very long time. The Pacific theatre of war has not yet been introduced to Battlefield 5, so this should provide players with some exciting new battles. The release marks Battlefield 5’s first foray into the Pacific theatre of the Second World War at release, the game focused primarily on Europe and Northern Africa. There are also two new Elites coming later in the Chapter, one each for the US and Japan. While plenty of the new content is available at launch, the Wake Island map will be coming in December, and three new weapons will feature as Chapter Rewards.
